Poppy was enrolled into Valemont University when Maggie Gracen a.k.a. Sophie Fields became her new room mate at the university. She declared herself as best friend to Maggie/Sophie, which Maggie accepted gladly.

At the end of the series, the vampires had decided Poppy knew too much about them for a human, but Maggie rescued her from her fate. Together in the end Maggie and Poppy drove off to Las Vegas to start over.
